After John's detailed description I already thought to ignore this query regarding the Spanish farandulesque chusmerío originated in the mid-2020s, but as Margarito Cazares Guerrero made an interesting interpretation, I take advantage and I start with two more. I'm not sure Mattel's Dolls of the World include an Apache version, but there is a Chilean Barbie with some shadowy accessory (or parody?) Mapuche culture; and the qualifier of 'Barbie Mapuche' for a beautiful woman of that American ethnicity is quite common. Also its use as a racist mockery. On the other hand, and doing a little spam, there is a line of children's boulders named Apache, with some models inspired by the Barbie doll universe.
Usually we Latinos are effusive when it comes to greeting, and then kisses, hugs, pats appear, at least a handshake. But in some contexts, such as an epidemic of contact contagion, many of those greetings should be avoided. And since we can't stand the genius, we end up inventing a "touch or shock of elbows" greeting that is less risky and remains a way of showing affection, that you don't feel a rejection towards the other.
It has several interpretations. One can be "withdraw", in this case there is a syncodoque where the ass represents the whole person and has versions like "carry the ass up. . . » by "move up (somewhere) " . Another variant may be "removing or flipping the face" of someone in a sign of contempt or any, of course in this case the 'ass' is an irony for "face". It can also be a little more literal and understood as "dodging the kick (by punishment, for expulsion).

In principle 'balls' are "the testicles", and when a male has to maintain or endure something or someone can say that "hangs him from the balls" as reinforcing the idea of heaviness, effort and pain for that unpleasant situation. There is a version used among media, people with some fame, where anyone looking for renown hangs up to figure, to make themselves look close to someone popular; and in this case the same phrase is also used. In a woman there is "hanging of tits". The other known meaning stems from lynching, and 'hanging from balls' would be a form of punishment, or suicide. As a euphemism of the latter is used "hanging from the lashes".
