The correct term is disipela, with s (disease is not with m before the f). It is a highly contagious disease of the skin, medically called "Bacterial Dermohipodermitis". In Colombia we know it more as Erysipelas. It is caused by bacteria of Streptococcus type type A (Streptococcus pyogenes).
