Meanings sorted by:

marioneta
  43

Doll, usually articulated and maneuvered by a puppeteer, who represents a character in a show or a play. The origin of the name seems to be religious. In the 10th century ceremonies used to be performed in churches where the Virgin Mary spoke to the faithful, and she did so through an icon with her figure that the French called "Marion" (diminutive of "Marie") and the priest who imitated the voice using falsetto was christened him as the "marionnette". This is the name that was popularized in Spain for any "doll used to act or recite a parliament". He later took his sense of "pusillanimous, unwilling person who lets himself be handled by others." See puppet .

títere
  42

Animated doll with different techniques to play a role in a show. The name appears to be an onomatopeya, since in the puppet theater some puppeteers used a tongue or cornet in the mouth to warp the voice or simply emit a sound ( "trii-trii-trii") that replaced the words and that the audience understood the same. Since the 'puppet' is handled by a person, so too are those who allow theself to be manipulated by others. See puppet, tritrite.

  25

Unplaced phrase for a dictionary and with match errors. See me, like, eat, a lot, cookie.

actuar con nocion
  24

It is not a locution, nor does it fit in a dictionary, and while notion (with accent) is a synonym for "knowledge", it is always used over something ( "notion of . . . " ) , so the sentence would be incomplete. See acting .

  42

Gay, lesbian, person with inclination to love someone of the same sex. It comes from the German der homosexuelle, and was coined by Karoly M. Benkert (a journalist, an Austro-Hungarian gay militant) in 1869 while claiming the German government for its intolerance to same-sex relations. It is of Greco-Latin etymology, since 959; 956; 959; 962; (omos "equal, the same" ) is Greek and sexus ( "sex" ) is Latin.

I was thinking maybe it's not a hypocritical mistake, but a made-up version to go back to its original definition and avoid confusion. In any case the origin is in The Greek 965; 960; 959; 954; 961; 953; 964; 951; 962; ( hypocrites "interpreter" ) .
