Version most accepted said that Sinaloa comes from the cahita language and consists of SINA which means Dragon fruit and rounded LOBOLA voices. ASI Sinalobola and then Sinaloa means rounded pitahaya. Pitahaya is a plant of fleshy and spiny stem which is abundant in the region.
