Talmud: The Hebrew word Talmud means " teaching received by a disciple ". Disciple in Hebrew is written "Talmid ". The heart of the talmud is the literal transcription of the Torah also called Mishnah and the comment that surrounds the text referred to as gemara together are called TALMUD.
