Guaicaipuro or Guaicaipuro ( n. currently Los Teques, Venezuela, around 1530; m. 1568 ) was an indigenous native, head of various Caribbean tribes, with the title Guapotori boss of bosses originally from the Teques.A group despite known today as Guaicaipuro, in documents of the time his name was written as 'Guacaipuro II'.???Guaicaipuro formed a coalition of powerful against the Spanish conquest of the territory of the current Venezuela, with various conas which he led during the 16th century ( 41 16; in the central region of the country, especially in the Valley of Caracas. He directed, among others, the chieftains Naiguatá, Guaicamacuto, Chacao, Aramaipuro, Paramaconi and his own son Baruta. Guaicaipuro is currently one of the most famous and illustrious chieftains. The area occupied today by the city of Los Teques was populated by various indigenous groups, which had each with its own Chief. The tribe of Guaicaipuro, encompassing an area from Turgua in the East, where today San José de los Altos, is located to the West, was one of the largest. One of his sons, Baruta, also became Chief and dominated the area of the current municipality of the same name. Other daughters of Guaicaipuro were, apparently, Tiora and Caycape.
