Environmental and geographic region of South America, corresponding to the Amazon River Watershed. Part of the Amazon Basin that corresponds to the South American countries (Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia). In Colombia, there is an ecogeographic region made up of the departments of Caquetá, Putumayo, Guaviare, Vaupez and Amazonas.
