Carvativir, such as carvacrol or cymophenol, are chemicals found in essential oils from plants such as thyme or oregano. In addition to cooking, they have use in pseudomedicines (such as homeopathy or aromatherapy), although in some studies it showed antibacterial properties for certain urinary tract infections.
