It is a small carnivorous mammal of the family Procyonidae. It is also known as cacomiztle or cacomistle, cacomixtle, chicón, mico rayado, goyo, huilo and siete rayas. Its scientific name is Bassariscus astutus . In the Nahuatl language cacomixtle means half lion or half feline. It is omnivorous and nocturnal. It also means womanizing.
