It is one of the common names given to a medium-sized marsupial, long-tailed and prehensile, in Mexico. In Colombia it is also called runcho, rabipelao, chucha or fara. In Mexico it is also called tacuacín or guazalo . Its scientific name is Didelphis marsupialis and it belongs to the Didelphidae family. It can have up to 20 offspring in a birth.
