It may be a deformation of renco ("rengo"), or perhaps it comes from the Quechua expression wiksu chanka ("crooked leg"), although it is difficult that from the Altiplano it has reached Central America. 3º_ 'Chenco' is a small town in Chiapas (Mexico).
