Plural of quinde . In Colombia it is one of the common names we have for the chupaflor, hummingbird, tominejo, buzzers, tucusitos, hermits, quindes, quinchas or fly bird. It is a very small bird with a very long and slender beak, which feeds on the nectar of flowers. It can be held in the air and back in it. It flaps its wings when flying at impressive speeds. Colibri is also the taxonomic genus to which it belongs. They belong to the family Trochilidae. They are native to America.
