CALAMBRAZO a powerful involuntary and sudden muscle contraction, which usually occurs in the legs. One of the causes is the accumulation of lactic acid or toxins by excessive exercise as happens to footballers in the final minutes of a match. It also occurs in the abdominal area, especially in pregnant women. Dehydration and age are other triggering factors.
