It means tender coyoy, coyoy stem or coyoy regrowth. In Chile it is one of the common names of a brown algae, which is also known as kollof, coyofe, coyoyo, coyoy, cachiyuyo, cochaguasca or cochahuasca. It's edible. Its scientific name is Durvillaea antarctica. It is very rich in Iodine.
