Spanish red grape variety that ripens before the others, which creates good wines with body and with many appellations of origin, also called tempranilla, tinta del país and cencibel. Nickname of José Pelagio Hinojosa Cobacho, bandit of Cordoba of the nineteenth century in Sierra Morena. José María el Tempranillo, condemned to death and pardoned, died fighting against the bandits.
