LACTOBACILLUS BIFIDUM genus of gram-positive, anaerobic, non-mobile bacteria, often branched appearance. Its name is because, mainly, they contribute to digest lactose, typical of dairy products such as milk and cheese. They are widely distributed in the intestinal tract of mammals, birds and insects. ?
