Adj. masc. Comprising the cordillera of the Andes. Hybrid voice composed of the Greek indefinite adjective "bread": all, and by the Andes noun. The most likely etymology of the name Andes is the quechua word "anti": high ridge. It is worth noting that the quechuas of the Tahuantinsuyo used to be called "anti" to the easternmost mountain systems constituting approximately the boundaries of the Empire. For this reason some pampeanas Hills high, as the Aconquija, although they correspond to independent orographic systems, included them in the "anti".
