It is the name of an ecnia from West Africa, which inhabits territories of Senegal, Cameroon and also in Sudan. They are usually nomadic and remain longer in the Sahel. It is also the name of the language they speak. It is also called this fula language, peul, pulaar, fulbe or fulfulde.
