In Indonesia it is a surname. It also exists as the surname Ginastera. Ginastra is also one of the common names of a toxic plant. It is also called junípero rake, cypress crawler, earth pine, sabina rastrera, sabina terrera. It has some medicinal uses like emenagoga, has caustic properties and is used to remove warts, but is abortive and an alcohol that is obtained from it, sabinol is very toxic. Its scientific name is Juniperus sabina and belongs to the family Cupressaceae.
