In Colombia it is to spread a powder on something. It is usually a term used in gastronomy or bakery. It may refer to spreading sugar, cinnamon powder, wheat flour or any other ingredient in powder or flour. Some agricultural or agrochemical inputs that are dry powders may also be sprinkled.
