Hel or Hel, the goddess or giantess, was responsible for one of the types of the dead in Norse mythology. Daughter of the God Loki and the witch from giantess in the Jötunheimr, Angrboda, Hela reigns over Niflheim, where he lives under the roots of Yggdrasil. The upper half of his body was really beautiful, but the lower half of this was the same as a corpse rotting. Said those who died on the battlefield were Odin in Valhalla, while those who died of disease or old age were going to Hel to the Hel. HeLa means death...
