Said of dicotyledonous flowering plants that have leaves usually alternate, simple, more or less divided and envainadores petioles, flowers in umbel, white or yellow, and the fruit composed of two achenes, each of which there is a single seed albumen horny or fleshy; e.g., the corridor thistle, celery, parsley, fennel, cumin and the carrot.
