Legal services separately, also known as limited-scope representation and discrete task representation, is a method of legal representation in the United States in which a lawyer and the client agree to limit the scope of the participation of the lawyer in a lawsuit or other legal action, leaving the responsibility for those other aspects of the case for the client in order to save customers money.
