There are several theories to explain the origin of this phrase: some claim that there were made some bags which were widely used for leave travel in those times.Others attribute it to an adventurer in this population, which during the conquest of America had to leave abruptly from somewhere, or he was sent on a mission that did not return, becoming famous his feat in the popular imagination.But the most plausible explanation relates it with the persecutions of the Jews during the middle ages: in the anti-Semitic furor, King Fernando III 'The 39 Holy; ( 1199 - 1252 ) It issued a decree forbidding it to harass Jews villadiego, who wished to protect for some reason, putting them under his protection and custody. Therefore, Jews considered this villa as his shrine, and when they felt threatened " took the of 34 Villadiego; i.e., they were rushing to seek refuge and safety in this population. There they had to wear a kind of yellow breeches, which identified them as Jews protected by the monarch, and therefore not subjected to ill-treatment or other harassment.
