Meaning of tilosis

tilosis: It is a term in Botany. It is the abnormal and generalised accumulation of tyloses especially the trees due to blockage in the vessels of the heartwood (scars on the Woody part or xylem, wood). In medicine it means callus, callosity, excrescence.; Scientific term. In medicine formation of calluses or excrescences on the skin of the Palm of the hand or on the sole of the foot, or in other areas. In botanical formation of tyloses or plant cells parenchymal that block the passage of the SAP in the heartwood or sapwood.
