There is discussion as to whether it means change or change (regarding plumage) or if it refers to Synallasis, water nymphiid. It is a genus of South American bird, belonging to the family Furnariidae. They are known as coludites, chamiceros, stubble, pijuís, gotitos, colaespinas or architects.
