It is a typical hat of Savannas of Cordoba, Sucre and Bolivar, in Colombia. It is manufactured using traditional methods in the municipality of Tuchín, in the Department of Córdoba, and is widely used at fairs and festivals throughout the country, especially in the Barranquilla Carnival.
