1. m. fish teleósteo, anacanto, some eight decimetres of long, flattened, asymmetric, whitish and smooth body below, bluish-Brown and very hard tuberculous scales above, small head, eyes on the left side, dorsal fin as long as the entire body, and nearly round tail. It is the widest of the flatfish and can reach a meter in width.
