Meaning of realejo

realejo
  16

Based on the following historical event: "When the Christians took the city of Granada in 1492, anti-Jewish feeling was running so high that the Monarchs had their quarter razed to the ground. It was rebuilt and renamed ¿El Realejo¿ because the land had been seized by the Crown." I would therefore suggest as an additional translation "Royal grounds" (or, prehaps, "Royal domain"). (Me gustaría saber si los hispanohablantes están de acuerdo con mi interpretación.)
