It means strange beak. It is the name of a genus of birds belonging to the family Polioptilidae. We know them as picudo sotelito, picudo soterillo, jumper, hunting and picuda warbler. In Honduras they call it piquilargo or piquilarga nun, in Ecuador piquilargo.
