Exploration of the soil and subsoil in search of minerals using more sophisticated, complex and precise techniques than "searching" such as geophysical and geochemical methods. Geophysical methods: magnetic, gravimetric (determination of the proportional amount of an element), electromagnetic, electrical, etc. Geochemical methods: rock and soil sampling, biogeochemical (leaf and stem study), geobotanical (soil study in relation to different vegetation types) and sediment sampling of streams, lakes and groundwater.
