It is the name of a plant and its fruit. It is a way to call the pin, watermelon, stoning, scathing, aguamelón, albudeca, meloan, ditch or melon of water. Its scientific name is Citrullus lanatus and belongs to the family Cucurbitaceae. In various parts of the Caribbean it is a very vulgar way of referring to the female sexual organ, alluding to the interior being red or having fluids of that color.
