It is another common name that is known to the Andean tapir, mountain tapir, black tapir, wooly tapir or danta of Páramo. Its scientific name is (Tapirus pinchaque) and belongs to the Tapiridae family. It is found only in Colombia and Ecuador, in the Andean mountain ranges.
