It is the name hispanicized or Spanish form Pernettya mucronata plant in the family Ericaceae. It is synonymous with botanical Gaultheria mucronata. Referred to as chaura or Chilean Blueberry. The term Pernetia (as it is written here, and sounds) was popularized by nurseries that are usually more sophisticated ornamental plants names, most often using the generic botanical name, with spelling errors or wrong writings (Castilianization of terms LVL US). It is a plant very resistant to frost.
