VERBAL PERIFRASIS . It consists of the copulative use of two verbal forms to express an idea. Both verbs convey a single verbal idea and form an inseparable syntactic unit. This means that, functionally, the entire structure is the core of the predicate. There are two general classes or types of verbal periphrases : a ) aspectual : add nuances about the state or development of the verbal action (i.e. about the time of action in which the speaker is being fixed) : It usually occurs at dawn, it is going wrong.
