Meaning of pañete

pañete: 1º_ Cloth with fabric of little body and low quality. 2nd_ Cloth that covers from the waist the image of Christ crucified in churches. 3º_ Surely related to the previous one, breeches worn by workers who, for their task, wear a bare torso. 4th_ Plaster, plaster, building material that covers brick walls. See suffix -ete .; Diminutive and derogatory of cloth. Small-bodied cloth. Name given to a cloth of inferior quality. Poor quality cloth. Cheap cloth. Name given in Colombia to the layer of plaster, stucco or mixture of water, cement and sand, which is applied on a wall, to give it presentation and consistency.
