Says of the plants belonging to the family of the Cariofiláceas, ramosas, herbaceous and creeping, with opposite leaves most of the times and usually with Stipules, regular, hermaphrodite, little showy flowers, and nut enclosed in the calyx, with many seeds of starchy albumen; e.g., the nevadilla and the quebrantapiedras.
