A term signifying universal wisdom, the knowledge that encompasses all things that are, both in the way and in the manner in which they are, both essentially and existentially, and the knowledge about their ultimate end. It is, therefore, an integrative knowledge that has as its main characteristic that of involving all areas of human knowledge and no human discipline is alien to it.
