1. m. Chile. Plant acaule, the family of the GunnerĂ¡ceas, with large sheets of over one meter in length and about half of width, orbicular and lobed. Its centre was born a cylindrical common that bears many flower spikes. The fruit is a small drupe because its calyx becomes fleshy, rhizome, which is astringent, used in medicine and for dyeing and tanning. It is common in swampy areas and along streams.
