nitofilia

It is supposed to be an "emotional or affective inclination to daydream, to fantasize", but the truth is that it is not; This word doesn't exist and probably doesn't even because it was never mentioned outside of some website that invents weird voices only to have them repeated or generate comments (as in the case of opacarophilia or the already mentioned and misspelled suanfazon). Still, I was tempted to trace some etymology to it; That of -filia is more or less clear, either it is a sentimental hobby or it is a sexual perversion, but that of 'nito' requires a lot of imagination. I considered options in Greek as a mistake for nyctophilia ("inclination to the night, to nocturnal activity") by association with sleep, but it is a well-known word for err as well. I also thought of a bad transliteration of 957; 959; 965; 962; (nous, "mind") for "thoughts", and this would be because the letter /965;/ has /933 as a capital letter;/, which resembles the /y/, which in many cases in English sounds like /i/ (also in modern Greek) but in classical Greek is something like an /ou/; And either way, they're very far-fetched justifications. Perhaps the inventor of this monstrosity was not even inspired by the Greek but by the Latin nitor, oris ("sparkle, brilliance"), as a mistranslation of the Americanism flasheo ("delirium, rambling"). Or it can also come from some idiolect. Who knows. . .
