(From Musa, famous physician of Augustus, who engaged in these plants, and -áceo).

1. adj. Bot. Says of the perennial monocot Angiosperm herbs, some giant, with apparent stem formed by the envainadores falling leaf petioles, and already high trunk, already short or almost no way; leaves alternate, simple, and entire envainadores petioles and a strong nerve, irregular flowers with radical or axillary peduncles, and berries fruits or drupes with starchy or fleshy seeds; p. ej. banana and abacá. U t. c. s. f.
