Herb of the family Primulaceae, with stems lying in three to five decimetres of long, abundant ramos, the leaves are opposite, ovate, hairless and seated, stalked, axillary, solitary, flowers of Red Corollas in a variety and blue in another, and the fruit capsular, small, membranous and containing several seeds. It was formerly used in medicine against the dropsy, rabies and bites of venomous animals.
