Central American tree its fruit, of twelve meters in height, leaves alternate, typed, greenish in panicles and corymbs terminal or axillary flowers with five petals and six stamens, fruit green or pale yellow, similar to an Apple, which is usually eaten in soup. The infusion of the leaf and fruit have medicinal uses.
