1. m. herbaceous annual, hortense, the family of the Cruciferae, with 30 to 60 cm high, cut lower leaves, stem and the upper with white flowers, and fruit dry capsular with two seeds. He lives in Central and North America and Spain. It is edible and has uses in traditional medicine.
