MAPURITO l mapurito or anamú ( Petiveria allicea ) is a plant found throughout South America, especially in the Antilles. In Cuba, a decoction of the entire plant is used in cases of cancer and diabetes. It is also used as an anti-inflammatory. Numerous biologically active compounds have been discovered in the anamú.
