It is a type of dialogued prayer, which contains a series of supplications. Long and monotonous list or enumeration. Retahila, petition, supplication. In Colombia it is a kind of coastal folk poetic composition in which invocations and petitions are made to God or a Saint. A person pronounces the first part of the verse and a choir answers the next.
