Within the study of ethics and morals, it is a current that defends that ethical goals should be thought of in the long term, such as the survival of the species, and not so much as in the short term. What the long-termists propose is a practical approach to address what they consider to be priority issues such as the health of poor countries, climate change or global poverty.
