1. m. species marine, of the suborder of the Macruros, from twelve to fourteen inches long, small legs, edges of the jaws fibrous, compressed body, very long tail, carapace little consistent and greyish in colour, which changes on rosa uploaded by cooking; its flesh is very much appreciated.
