The word xilofaga means that you eat wood. It comes from the Greek prefix Xylos, xylom (wood) and phagos (eat, eat). There are many species of which are xylophagous insects (termites, termites, moths, beetles) and there's even a marine species (teredo) and up to mammalian (castor).
