Huitzilopochtli ( in nahuatl «Tzilipichtli Hu; AFI [Widtsilodepodt tii]: 1-) It was the main deity of the Aztecs. It was also known as Ilhuicatl Xoxouhqui and has been associated with the sol.2 with the arrival of the Spanish in Mesoamerica, was the most worshipped deity in the Central Highlands by imposition of the Mexica. The conquistadors called it Huichilobos ( the name Churubusco is derived from Hu 'Tzilipichco )
